At AfterWest, we try our best to ensure that our readers receive perfect and Accurate factual information when reading our content. We try our best to satisfy our readers with all the content they want to obtain from our site.
While much of the content on AfterWest is opinion-based, a large portion of our articles contains information that depends heavily on fact-checking and calculation estimates. With time we tried other steps that proved good and made our articles more informative.
With that in mind, the following information covers exactly what we are now performing every month to make sure that our content stays up-to-date, and keeps our readers satisfied. With that being said, we might often miss one or two things, and we encourage any of our readers who spot and identify these mistakes to get in touch with us and give us a heads-up.
“We want to do better, we can do better, we will do better.”
Our Content Production Process
Every part of the content published on AfterWest goes through a minimum of three people before it is published:
- The Writer
- The Editor
- The Publisher
After our qualified writers write an article, it will be sent to our content manager for review. They’ll try to spot any grammar mistakes or formatting before it’s uploaded. A final fact check is done by the team member in charge of publishing the article to make sure that the article is perfectly right.
Net Worth Profiles
Net Worth profiles will often require updating or fact-checking because celebrities’ net worth estimates, salaries, ages, and other information change throughout the year.
We have recently put systems in place to make sure that all these figures stay updated every month so that our readers remain fully updated and satisfied.
Where do we source our estimates?
Net Worth estimates featured on AfterWest come from a wide variety of sources, including the following:
- Documents provided by an individual’s attorney
- Salary/earnings and expenditure information
- Reputable sources such as Forbes & CelebrityNetWorth
Every Net Worth profile includes a summary table towards the top of the content, with a “Last Updated” row. The date listed in this table is an accurate representation of the last time we updated all the information listed within the tables, as well as the net worth estimates listed within the article itself.
With that being said, we may have updated other content within the article, such as an individual’s career, awards, etc.
All the net worth figures featured on AfterWest are to be viewed as “best estimates” of an individual’s net worth, and not necessarily the actual net worth figure.
Most Expensive Lists
Typically, we don’t require updating many of our “most expensive” lists as some of the prices are so insane, that nothing ever becomes more expensive.
We also completed lists of modern products – The Most Expensive Cars – for example, which we make an effort to go back and update every few months when necessary.
We use multiple types of sources and statistics on the internet to calculate exactly which items should appear on the lists. Prices can often fluctuate, for some things more than others, and we insert more energy towards lists with a regularly high fluctuation in prices.
Richest Lists
The net worth of the richest people in our world is so high that they’re constantly increasing and decreasing. We try our best to update these lists as often as we can, and those updates will often occur after we do a mass update to the individual net worth profiles of any people placed or mentioned on the richest lists.
Overall Fact Checking
Since its creation in 2014, AfterWest has collected a collection of 3,500 articles. With the exponential growth we have seen, keeping information updated has become increasingly difficult. With that being said, for improving our processes we’ve taken huge steps, including increasing our tripling our monthly content budget.
